Unit 10

Skills audit
Over the year I have worked on my confidence in  performing on stage  and rehearsals.   At the s
example when I started Level 2 performing arts I was quiet, scared, shy but I started to open up to people. Also getting to know other people in the class. Which made me comfortable to work with. On the other hand, when I arrived at Level 3 performing arts my confidence was a bit low however over the weeks I got to know everybody in the class. Whilst in rehearsals I wasn't scared to say my ideas to others or give feedback. Before people say feedback which would bring my confidence down however I have developed that as what I need to work on to be a better performance. Another skill that I have developed this year is eye contact. At first, looking at people felt uncomfortable however we did some exercises for example during our warm-up we would walk around the class and Rob would say an action that we had to do. Whilst walking around the class we had look at people and Rob said "smile with your eyes". So that quote stuck on to me so when I was rehearsing with Teagan

Unit 7

When  I'm complete the UAL Level 3 Performing arts course, I want to study at a drama school. I feel that drama school would help me learn more about acting on stage,T.V and Film. I will get a lot of experience and getting into more in depth with acting.  I want to get an agent through drama school because drama school have connections. Also I will meet other actors, we are going through the same thing so if we have problems or issue they would understand and help. However drama school is expensive. Some drama school you have to pay for your audition and not everyone in drama makes it as an well paid  actor.

The drama schools that I want to attend next year  is RADA, Mount View, Royal speech of drama and Identity and Julliard. It would be expensive but i'm gong to work hard on my acting and just be myself. I feel that i'm right for drama school because you have to be discipline, open minded, patience, determination, confident. When you audition for drama school or film/Tv or theatre you would have might have to do a monologue. The monologue that I will being doing is Gilbert or Frank by Terrance Mosley. It's about a boy who came to London and he talks about his experience in white school. He had a horrible experience in the white school as the kids their were bullying him because of his hair however he stood up to them which got him expelled. After his father was angry but he realise that

Unit 5 Production

We came together and discussed on the production of the performance and we wrote down a few ideas.

The play is going to be set in modern times  because we want to the audience to understand the performance and relate to the performance. Also we wanted to do something different and we felt that modernising the play would make an impact.

Whilst reading the play we came as group and thoughts the themes and we wanted to include that in performance. We going show this by lighting and the costumes and sound. For Lighting we want it to be "Red" to show blood or Macbeth and Lady Macbeth turning evil. Blue lights at the beginning to show good. At the start we wanted it to be dark and have a spotlight in the middle whereby the witched would come together in a triangle and saying the Lines.

The themes in the is pride, determination, justice, fate, money, power. We wanted incorporate the themes into our performances. Macbeth and Duncan are going to crown and cape to show that they are king and they have power. For Fate we want the first scene to be dark and have spotlight  in middle to show light. When i hear the word Fate it remind me of white pure lights

Inspirations for the set
I felt this could be set for the scene whereby Duncan get murder or when they find out that he dies because it dark and depressing.
I want this to be set of when my character goes and talks to the captain because i'm in a war. they should tents and weapon around the stage.  Also it bright and positive I want the play to start that way so that it get's darker and darker when we are going through play.

This is set of lady Macbeth and Macbeth house. It's red and dim light which shows that they are evil. Also the house looks rich and beautiful. It looks old however fresh which i want t show that in performance with the generation gap between Macbeth and Duncan. How Duncan rules the country is different to Macbeth ruling the country.

This could be the scene whereby Macbeth and Macduff fight scene. I want the stage to have bright red lights to show blood, war, death. Battle field soundtrack for example pirates of the Caribbean theme tune ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27mB8verLK8
I was watching a Macbeth film so that I could get some inspiration of what the set should look like?. This has help me with coming with ideas such as "Red light" into my performance. I like the play is set in a doll house each scene is one stage but different location.
The war scene at the end of the scene whereby Macbeth is in war with Malcolm

When create the set we have to looking in the prop cupboard  to see what we have because we don't have budget. So some of the props that we don't have, we as group have to come together create it ourselves. If we can't something we want, we have  an alternative. If we don't alternative set and we can't find props for the set this would effect the show and the audience because we want the audience to see the location of the scene so that it gives them an understanding of the scene.

This is our set ,Que and props list
We wanted to have less props in each scene so that it would be easier to switch to the next scene. We want the audience members to focus on the actor not the set. In the banquet scene we wanted Ariana Grande 7 rings to play whereby Macbeth is dancing to it. We choose that song because it's a popular song and the audience member could sing and dance to it. Also the audience members could sing along to it.

Costumes Ideas

Witches Costume

I want the witches to look elegant, classy and rich because we are going to modernise the play, so i don't want it to be your typical witches which ugly, horrible or terrible. However I wanted the witches to wear black because black shows evil, dark and evil and witches are evil. At first I wanted the witches to wear white however no one has white suit or dress. Also white shows good, pure not evil.

I want everyone in Act 1 scene 2 to wear military outfit because In act 1 scene 2 we are in a war. Usually in war solider or captain wear military outfits. Duncan, Macbeth, Malcolm, Banquo would be wearing this military outfit throughout the whole play. However when Duncan dies and Macbeth becomes King the outfits would change. Macbeth is going to wear Blue suit However Lady Macbeth is going to wear red dresses to show blood, evil and devil because she evil from the start and she influences Macbeth to Kill Duncan. The aprations  are going to wear all black because they're ghost or nothing, not human. The black is meant to represent the witches evil put into them

Macbeth/Lady Macbeth scenes set
witches set
King Duncan scenes set

This is what our set is going to look like. The red  light in middle is represent Macbeth scene to show that Macbeth or Lady Macbeth is evil,When we perform the play, the scene that have Macbeth or Lady Macbeth the lights are going to get brighter to show that the evil is growing in him. Blue lights to show Pure and good. In the witches scene's their going to be 3 spotlights and each witch is going to stand in one of the spotlights.

Hamilton trip
I really enjoy the show because it as very energetic and powerful performances. The play and the cast has inspired me for example we had a Q and A and one of the cast member was saying that they work so hard even if they are tried they would bring a lot of energy to rehearsals. I really enjoy that the cast was very diverse and different. That inspired me, it showed me that anyone could play anyone it's just that if i'm going to the work. I felt that the play had less dialogue and a lot of singing but it's musical i understand they have to be music however i felt that when you watch the would be song, little dialogue and a long song. The play has taught me about Alexander Hamilton and his life. The cast portray his life really well.
